Pantheon

Not my least favorite place in the world.

After spending a whole day in the space outside the Pantheon, I became a firm believer in non-park urban outdoor community spaces.

 We need that in America.

Free day in Rome. Went to Sperlonga. Made some friends. Got some sunburn.

San Pietro

|| Music: Skeleton Key--Margot and the Nuclear So and Sos ||

In ARC381 you do a lot of walking, drawing, sitting, and climbing.

So there are a lot of pictures of people doing those things.

On top of St. Peter's at the Vatican.

First of Many

|| Music: Easy As All That -- Miniature Tigers ||

Got back from Europe on Monday. I was planning on returning on June 21st, but ended up cutting my traveling short and returning after I finished the class due to both my mom's parents passing away. Last spring I did a project for Photo 2 project on them/their house, which I think I will post at a later date.

For now, I'll begin the slow and hopefully steady endeavor of posting pictures from Venice, Florence, Rome, Sienna, Basel, Ronchamp, Paris, and Amsterdam. Slow and steady.

Also, there is no way the sequencing will be in anyway either 1) linear or 2) sensical.

In light of how incredibly overwhelming the task of choosing is proving, I will begin with our fearless leaders: Harris, Burt, and Hoff.

First Annual Delph-Sobeh Studio Race

|| Music: Sweet Silence ||

Walking from studio to the caf, Rachel and Dennis thought they were simply joking about who was faster.

Little did they know that it would turn into a scheduled, organized event with many spectators and multiple photographers.

The First Annual Delph-Sobeh Studio Race was held on February 29, 2012 at 4PM.

It was approximately 300 feet, and involved 80's windbreaker warmups.

There were spectators and participants. Humble 2nd-Placers and humble-ish victors.

And a whole lot of studio culture.
